You have come across a forum thread on FB where some observers consider textspeak as a product of modern-day inertia and laziness-inducing technologies, making such forms of communication, and the internet generally, produce an addictive effect on how people process information, expressing themselves wrongly. Others respond that textspeak is no more than an efficient way to create written messages for informal communication. People use textspeak, not to generate thoughtfulness and literary communication, but to keep in contact and to facilitate communication. In no way does this imply that people don't know how to write or refuse the idea to write properly.

Write a response to that forum thread expressing your opinion about texspeak. Is it right or wrong, according to you?

Write between 125-150 words.

AFAIK, In 63 AD a Roman scholar complaint that students of Latin were writing in an “artificial language”—a language that would become French!

OMG!, I am very tired to hear that about how such “textspeak ruins language”—how technology has made everybody lazy with their speech and writing.

WTH, contrary to the idea that these innovations are corrupting language, they actually prove a creative reusing of symbols and marks to a new age of technology.

IMHO, “textspeak” is no more than an efficient way to create written messages for an informal communication. People use textspeak, not to generate literary communication, but to keep in contact each other and to facilitate communication, this doesn’t imply that people don't know how to write or refuse the idea to write properly.

AAMOF, these evolutions of language prove  the flexibility of the language to communicate nonverbal meaning in a efficient manner.

EOD, LOL
