their most ideal holiday destination. The winner of the contest will be able to
enjoy a trip for two to Malta!
Write an article to participate in the contest
describing your ideal holiday destination. Describe the place, both its
geographic and cultural aspects and say why you would like to spend a holiday
there.

Sydney is the oldest city in
Australia, the center of economic power, although it is not the capital of the
country. Today it is a vital and hospitable city.
It is
located in the coastline, washed by the Pacific Ocean. The city has
approximately seventy splendid seaports and beaches. Sydney Bay is the largest
natural harbor in the world.
It has a
humid subtropical climate, with mild summers and somewhat cold winters and
little rainfall. The climate is moderate due to the proximity of the sea.
Sidney was inhabited by aboriginal tribes for thousands
of years. However, its true story begins in "The Rocks", its
oldest neighborhood, where the first fleet of prisoners sent by the British
arrived. Walking through it, is travel back to the beginning of the 19th
century. Its narrow, old and dark streets have kept their wonderful colonial charming.
The people of Sydney are proud of their city, famous
around the world for its hospitality. The year of Sydney is full of festivals
and other events. Pitt, George and Castlereagh streets are the heart of
the trade district. There, you can buy a soft,
gigantic, shiny opal. Sydney houses to an extraordinary number of
food stalls, cafes, takeaways, restaurants and pubs. It has a large number of
museums and art galleries. You can visit the Sydney Aquarium, go surfing, enjoy
the spectacular views of the city from the air by helicopter or Globe or swim
in a paradisiacal,
golden, sandy beach, but ...
