Cook with me

There are many ways to practice English. Today (as almost every day) I have cooked and I have taken advantage of this situation to make this video recipe in English. I have cooked a chicken drumsticks in sauce and a garnish of chips and mushrooms. I have accompanied this plate with a green salad with tuna.

Ingredients:
oil
chicken drumsticks
onion
garlic
green pepper
red pepper
tomatoes,
wine
avecrem
bay leaf
salt
pepper

1º Give a little cut to the chicken drumsticks and throw them salt and pepper.
2º Fry the chicken drumsticks until they’re golden brown
3º Remove the chicken
4º Fry the onion, garlic and peppers low fire. (10 ')
5º Add the tomatoes. (5')
6º Fry the mushrooms in a pan.
7º Add them.
8º Throw the wine. Raise the fire. (3')
9º Incorporate the chicken
10º Prepare the chicken broth with water and an avecrem pill in the microwave
11º Throw the chicken broth
12º Throw a bay leaf
13º Bring it to a boil, lower the fire and cook it approximately 45 '
¡Ready! It’s done.

Why?

I want to begin this blog explaining its purpose. I thought that it could to be a good idea, that the group had a site where all things related with our English classes could be posted: posts, interesting link, advertisements, self recorded listenings, everyday stories, etc. Practicing writing, reading and listening is the aim.

As I struggle with the listening, I'm going to share each listening that I find interesting, improving and inserting them in our blog.

Also, I want to comment in this post the document that Mrs. Cristina has uploaded to EDMODO.
The name of the document is “New year resolutions” and it starts this way:

This year I'm going to ….

  • ·         read a book in English.

The book is called “Foreigner in Britain” and you can meet it in Amazon for 7,27 €.

  • ·         see a film in English (without subtitles).

I found an interesting post in which the author recommends the films that you can see according to your level.

“In this post we could talk about the series and films that are the most suitable for us, for those students of English who are in the A1 and A2 levels.
We want to start from the lowest level, step by step increasing the level, ending with films that would be between an A2 and a B1 level. Most of you when you see the first series that we recommend will tell us: "but what is this? starting with cartoons for children?" Well, the answer is simple, your level of English is like that of a little English child, you will have to get used to listen to English language step by step, you will have to start as any child begins, watching cartoons.”

If you click on the image you will see the recommended series and films.

The last resolutions: I'm going to do my English homework and to practice English with people outside the class, we'll see how we can help you.

If should be everyone's blog, or it won't be useful
